Welcome to the 32nd IAEBP Annual Conference
18 – 19 November 2016 – Coventry
14 hours verifiable CPD
This year’s Conference centres on our exploration of Lifespan Integration™. Probably the best bit of last year’s conference was our first look at Lifespan Integration with their only UK trainer, Mandy Roland-Smith. A year on and we intended to briefly explore how successful it’s been in the consulting room (very!) and how it’s becoming the tool of choice for the people using it. Why the tool of choice? Because it is quick, effective, and easy to apply, having particular protocols for particular circumstances. It’s another way to get profound change via Memory Reconsolidation. However, we are very pleased to announce that we are able to have top LI trainer, Anandi Janner Steffan, with us all weekend. She will be offering an extended introduction to the methodology of LI.
As far as we know this is a unique opportunity to explore this powerful technique without the expense of signing up for a training course.
In addition, we will have a half day from Ali Moore on Mindfulness which is quickly becoming the buzz word of the moment and yet has been around for centuries in may cultures ..Only now in the western world are we understanding the benefits of this ancient approach to mental wellbeing. It is being embraced by corporate and educational organisations due to it’s proven positive impact on an individuals state of mind.
In this half day workshop Ali will take you through the history of this practice, its benefits and she’ll explore many different techniques that you can introduce within your therapy sessions. You may find that you are already using Mindfulness through grounding processes and want to build on this or you may wish to learn how you can use Mindfulness alongside your more traditional therapy sessions. Perhaps you are not aware of how very different the different types of Mindfulness can be – there is an approach for most individuals.
This workshop will be interactive with a chance to experience the impact of Mindfulness first hand.
The material is supported via the British Mindfulness Association.
Our full programme includes a discussion about the results people are getting with Brain Working Recursive Therapy. For an introduction to that, we suggest a piece from the Mail Online.
And the inimitable Rob Smith will have some more insights to share.
Of course, we’ll also fit a Black-tie Christmas dinner and party into the middle of all that. Please note that ‘smart casual’ is an acceptable variation on Black tie!
